September Recap
September has been the perfect segue into the autumn months. Full, but not too full. Cozy, but still holding onto some summer moments. It started with Chicago and has come to a close with a very sweet weekend at home.
I am feeling very grateful and very hopeful going into October. Ready for the slowness that these changing seasons bring.

Reading
Divine Rivals & Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross - These might be my new favorite books ever. They are a fantasy duology with an enemies to lovers romance. The books follow Roman and Iris who are rival journalists at a newspaper while their world is at war. There is also magical letter writing! These books tackle so many deep themes, are so romantic, and include the perfect amount of mystery and magic. Please read them!!
Note: These books have basically no spice except for maybe 313-314 in Divine Rivals.
A Novel Love Story by Ashley Poston - This book also has the perfect touch of magic. In this book, our main character Eileen somehow finds herself in the fictional town of her favorite romance series. She sees places she has only ever read about, meets her favorite book characters, and maybe has a little romance of her own?!
Note: Skip chapter 28 (pages 278-283) and page 355 for no spice!
Watching
We got rid of our TV when we moved, so there is not a lot we watch anymore. However, we have been watching Big Brother this season!
Also, for some reason, last night I had the spontaneous desire to watch Ella Enchanted. I used to have the soundtrack to this movie, and honestly, all the songs are still pretty good. Let me know if you also watched this movie growing up!

Quote
“I think we all wear armor. I think those who don’t are fools, risking the pain of being wounded by the sharp edges of the world, over and over again. But if I’ve learned anything from those fools, it’s that to be vulnerable is a strength most of us fear. It takes courage to let down your armor, to welcome people to see you as you are.”
- Divine Rivals
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you all are having the coziest autumn season so far.
Take care,
Caroline

sounds like such a sweet september! lol I grew up watching ella enchanted 😅 anything with anne hathaway is an automatic fav for me, and the songs are so under rated imo!
