To the coming of autumn.
Of leaves raining down around you, crunching them under your feet. Of crisp mornings and cool nights. Of fires & candles & blankets & sweaters.
Of the peace that comes from remembering that change is not a bad thing. It isn’t scary. It’s welcoming. It restores and renews. It releases us to be free from fear.
Lord, let nothing make us afraid.
A Reflection on Decor
I used to love fall decor. I wanted to buy a bajillion pumpkins and turkeys and pillows and blankets. And I still get the temptation for a new cozy fall blanket now and then…
But this year, I am going without all the decor. On Saturday, I bought three mini pumpkins at the grocery store. They were just 89 cents a piece, and after the season is over, I can throw them away so they won’t add any clutter.
For me, that’s enough.
I encourage you to decorate to whatever degree brings you joy, but also know its okay to use what you have, bring things in from nature, or even decorate - not with things - but simply with music in your air, spices in your recipes, and photos in your frames.

Music
Speaking of music, I encourage you to create a playlist for fall and fill it with songs that help you romanticize and enjoy the season while its here. Here’s mine!
Praying you have a cozy, peaceful autumn season. Thank you for reading!
