Reading List
Summer is my favorite season to read - by the pool, on a beach, in a hammock, cozied up during a summer storm. I have a ton of books I think are great to read in the summer and a ton that I personally want to read this summer. Currently, I am working on editing a video containing more than 40 of these book ideas to go up on my Youtube channel this Friday! But for now, here’s a sneak peek…
Music
I already stocked this playlist with some of my favorite happy, summery songs. I love making a playlist each season as a place to hold all the new songs I discover in that time period. This gives me a go to playlist for this season and a way to look back in the years to come and see what music I was loving in the summer of 2024.
Recipes
Salads - I don’t have a specific recipe for this one, but something I have been loving is making a big salad for each week. This makes for easy lunches, helps us get in our greens, and just feels right for summertime. You can make this with anything you like and mix it up each week! Here’s some ideas of things we put in ours - spring mix, spinach, cabbage mix, shredded carrots, peppers, cucumbers, roasted chickpeas, roasted sweet potatoes, chicken, boiled eggs, cheese, pasta, chicken sausage.
Healthy Soft Serve Ice Cream - This is my favorite summer treat. Put a frozen banana or two (depending on how many servings you want) in the blender, along with the milk of your choice, almond / peanut butter, cocoa powder, and a couple of ice cubes. Blend until creamy! Top with some cocoa nibs and enjoy!
Smoothie Bowls - This is another favorite treat, and often, we even make it for dinner! You can make these using whatever fruits you want, but here’s how we do it. Start with any milk and coconut water in the blender. Add in frozen banana, frozen berries, and some frozen acai. We like to also add in collagen and protein powder when we are making this a meal. Add in some flax seeds and any other supplements you might want for the extra health boost! Blend. Last, add your toppings! Use fresh fruit, granola, honey, almond / peanut butter, cocoa nibs, coconut shreds, and anything else you have on hand!
Let me know if you try any of these recipes, books, or bucket list items and what you think!
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you are having a wonderful start to your summer!
Take care,
Caroline
Love the vision board! We must have similar interests cause I have a few of those things on my summer bucket list and books on my TBR list!
