Everyday Magic
Recently, I have been reading a fun little series called Only Magic in the Building. It is a no spice romance series in which all the couples live in the same whimsical apartment building (I highly recommend it - it is on Kindle Unlimited!). Each book features a magical little twist - fortune cookies, flowers, mops.
And it has got me looking for magic in every day life.
By magic, I mean - the miraculous, the unexplainable, and even the incredibly mundane that we simply overlook because we are used to it.
For me lately, I have seen magic in trees.
Isn’t it kind of crazy that trees are alive? That they go from brown and bare in the winter to purple, pink, and white in the spring - then shift to all shades of green in summer, and finally burst into reds, oranges, and yellows in the fall?
If you stop and think about it, it’s actually kind of wild.
Almost like magic.

Behind the Scenes
I know I might seem a little silly going on about trees, but stay with me. In my life, they have become a quiet, yet constant, reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness.
Sometimes, when I’m praying for something and nothing seems to be happening - when I’m hoping and waiting, or walking through something hard - I start to wonder if God is even working at all.
It can feel so quiet.
Like maybe my prayers aren’t being heard.
Like God is silent.
Like maybe nothing’s changing.
But then I see the trees.
In the winter, they seem dead. Lifeless. Brown and barren, with no hint of what’s coming.
And yet.
One sunny, seemingly random day, tiny white flowers begin to bloom.
It seems sudden.
But it wasn’t.
That blooming started long before I ever saw it.
And when I do see it, it reminds me…
God won’t fail. He sustains the trees. He moves them from season to season, clothing them with beautiful colors and providing everything they need.
He does the same for us.
Our Seasons
Just because we don’t see anything, doesn’t mean nothing’s happening. And we can’t compare our timeline to anyone else’s either - trees in Maine aren’t blooming when the trees in Florida do.
Maybe you feel like you're stuck in a season where nothing is changing. Maybe you're tired of waiting. Maybe you’re tempted to believe it’s all in vain.
But spring is coming.
Your blooms might be closer than you think.
This week, I encourage you to take a slow walk. Notice the trees. Let their blooms remind you: God hasn’t forgotten you. He’s still writing your story. He’s still bringing beauty out of the barren.
He’s here.
Take care,
Caroline
This article was lovely, I love people who sees magic everywhere ♥️
I really like this analogy Caroline. I have been feeling a little brown and barren over the last few months. Maybe it is the winter. Maybe it is the season of life I’m in. But thank you for reminder that God won’t fail. He never does. Keep up the great work!
